Core Sports Coaching are pleased to announce that a partnership with Championship side QPR has been agreed to be in place for the 2016/2017 season. This will see Core Sports Academy work on a regular basis with QPR. The deal was agreed and will name Core Sports Coaching as an official partner company.
The partnership will see Core Sports play QPR academy and development teams throughout the 2016/17 season, in games of an exhibition nature, and play in festivals together. Off the field Core Sports will have visits from QPR coaching staff and there will also be a coach education programme put in place for the Core Sports coaching team. The community set up is an important area also and there has been discussions of prizes including tickets, donated by QPR for holiday courses, stadium tours and community projects.
Chris Scudder, the head of academy and recruitment at Core Sports Coaching, said; “This is great for us and the boys here at Core Sports. The players will benefit greatly from this partnership and relish the opportunities to push on and play at the highest possible level of football. The aim of the academy set up here at Core Sports is to provide experiences for the players that they won’t normally get in grassroots football. As well as giving the players these great opportunities, the coaches will be able to work alongside coaches from a category 2 academy. There are a lot of football centre’s in the area that run under certain clubs and it’s great that Core Sports have a championship side working in partnership with them.”
Chris currently scouts for QPR and holds regular meetings to ensure that the partnership will be used to it’s full potential. This will mean a bright future for everyone involved with Core Sports and a fantastic opportunity for the children to progress.
